iXware Workspace
There are several ways in which users can make use of the iXware platform functionality. iXware functionality can,
for example, be added to the Lotus Notes or Microsoft exchange environment. It is also possible to make use of iXware
functionality with MS Outlook. In addition, the iXware platform offers a user interface of its own, the iXware
Workspace.
The iXware Workspace offers users the same functionality as conventional E-mail clients, in addition to a number of
specific iXware features. The iXware Workspace is not only a user interface but can also be used by the system
administrator as a tool to manage and administrate the iXware platform. Some available functionalities for the
Workspace are listed below:
-
The iXware Workspace offers you one central mailbox. It gives you access to your personal messages and settings,
regardless of the PC you use in your company’s network. The mailbox of course not only provides access to E-mail
messages but also to sent and received Fax and Text Messages.
-
The iXware Workspace facilitates the sending of various types of messages. Sending a text message or Fax message becomes as easy as sending an E-mail.
-
The Workspace allows you to manage your personal address book, but it also gives you the option of sending messages by making use of central address books.
-
iXware allows you to create mailing lists. Mailing lists can include any combination of E-mail, Fax and text message addressees. It is also possible to create distribution lists for shared use.
-
It is common practice to use cover pages when sending a Fax message. Company stationary is frequently used for conventional faxing. The iXware Workspace makes it possible to design cover pages. These cover pages can contain company logo’s, text and information about the message, such as sender and recipient information. The first and subsequent pages can be designed separately making it, for example, to send the company contact information on the first page and the company logo only on subsequent pages. It is possible to design cover pages for shared and individual use.
