Xerox and iXware
The iXware Xerox module allows for simple and transparent integration to a Xerox multifunctional. As a result, inbound and outbound fax traffic is possible from the Xerox Multifunctional. In addition, the Xerox module allows a network user to identify him/her self on the multifunctional. This has the benefit of allowing a copy of the fax message along with a delivery report to be sent to the users mail client. Finally, iXware can provide billing information based on the fax traffic of the multifunctional.
Features
Working in conjunction with an iXware server, multifunctional users no longer need to maintain stand-alone fax machines, dedicated phone lines or modems for individual workstations.
Instead, they can easily send and receive faxes directly from a multifunctional on their network with iXware and take advantage of time and cost-saving features.
Sending faxes directly from the multifunctional fax menu to an external fax number or the iXware mailbox
Sent fax messages are placed in the outbox of the iXware user

iXware and Xerox EIP
EIP: Everything is Possible
The new Xerox Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) opens up a world of new possibilities on the Xerox multifunctionals. Add iXware and the possibilities in the area of Enterprise Document Messaging are nearly endless.
What is EIP?
Xerox EIP is a software platform with an entirely new interface for the multifunctional. The web-based interface offers users personalized menus based on the user's personal ID. The MFP adapts to the user's way of working instead of requiring the opposite.
EIP and iXware
This new bi-directional interface lets iXware add even more functionality to the Xerox MFP. More than ever, iXware turns the multifunctional into a portal to the network. With EIP the Xerox MFPs become the on-ramp and off-ramp to the digital workflow. Xerox EIP MFPs and iXware integrate even further with customer's business applications.
"Creating Your New Workplace" is the fitting motto which Xerox has selected to highlight the central role the EIP machines play in the user's office environment.
A few of the new key features of EIP and iXware:
Intelligent address book lookup (of fax and SMS numbers) directly from the EIP Interface
Retrieval of sent faxes – for printing, forwarding, etc. – directly from the EIP interface
User identified faxing directly from the EIP machine – delivery report to user email inbox
Send SMS text messages directly from the EIP interface
View and print reports of sent faxes and sent them to your email
Duplex faxing
User friendly interface
